Last weekend I went on a date with a guy my friend set me up with, and I noticed how much dating has changed over the years. The gender schema has been so altered. The guys use to open doors, pull out chairs, and pay for most things. I'm not saying a guy has to be perfect, and he definitely doesn't have to be Prince Charming and sweep me off my feet. I'm just asking for a nice, respectful guy.
So we all go out to eat. Obviously I was taught that a guy was almost always suppose to pick up the check on a date, but this didn't happen. We go to the register to pay, and I didn't only pay for my meal. I paid for both of our meals. I was outraged! What happened to being respectful? Everything I was taught a guy should do, he did the complete and utter opposite. It surprised me how a guy could even ask a girl to pay for his meal, and I was way too shocked to say no. This showed me how much guys have changed over the years, and it is definitely not for the better.
This was by far the worst date of my life, and there will not be a second. Hopeful for better luck next time!
I think its okay for a girl to treat her guy to a meal every once in a while but the FIRST date?! I mean come on dude.. and the fact that you had to pay for both of your meals? wow. Chivalry is dead.
