2014 was a very eventful year for me. This was the year I graduated high school, stopped cheering, started college, and started my first job. Graduating high school was a huge event in my life, and it was even sweeter graduating with high honors. All of those countless sleepless nights of studying were all worth it in the end.
I stopped cheering last year, and it was one of the most bittersweet moments of my life. I cheered varsity competition all four years of high school. I loved this sport so much, and it made me the outgoing and happy person I am today. I had gallbladder surgery last year (which isn't as bad as people make it seem) and a week later I was competing and tumbling like it was nothing (with the help of strong pain meds of course). Cheering constantly made me tired at school, and it made long nights a little more longer, but I wouldn't have traded those four seasons for the world.
I started working my first job right after my last cheerleading season. I work at Duffy's deli, and it is honestly a blessing. I never imagined loving a job and the people as much as I do, but it wasn't always such a great thing. I believe it is one of the hardest part time jobs around, but after getting the hang of everything, it is one of the best places to work.
Starting college was a big thing for me last year, and I love the freedom. It is such a different scenario than high school, but in a good way. I also ended up with all A's (somehow).
2014 was great, but hopefully 2015 is even better.
I am telling you, I LOVE Duffy's sandwiches: pimento cheese and chicken salad. I love their kentucky derby pie and caramel cake. But, I don't make enough money to eat there now. It is UNGODLY expensive!!! I sure hope they pay you a lot!!
